Sharing this featured interview in Canvas Rebel Magazine so you can discover a little bit more about me and the journey that brought me to creating The Manifesting Journal series :)

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Marie Fiorin. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below. Alright, Marie thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the decision of whether to donate a percentage of sales to an organization or cause – we’d love to hear the backstory of how you thought through this.

Thank you so much for having me, it’s truly a pleasure! Last year, The Manifesting Journal received a special honor when it was chosen by the esteemed organization Your Mom Cares to be featured in their annual Holiday Gift Guide. As a gesture of our commitment to making a positive impact, we pledged to donate 10% of the journal's sales generated between November 23, 2022, and December 31, 2022, to support this non-profit cause. Your Mom Cares is an exceptional non-profit organization with a steadfast dedication to enhancing the mental wellness of children.

In keeping with our core values, which include a strong commitment to giving back, we are delighted to announce that this year we will continue our philanthropic efforts. During the month of October, 10% of all sales of The Manifesting Journal will be directed toward supporting This is About Humanity. This remarkable community is passionately engaged in raising awareness about the challenges faced by separated and reunified families and children at the border, making a significant difference in their lives.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

My name is Marie Fiorin and I was born in Paris, France from a French mother and an Italian father. I started my career as a fashion stylist in Milan, Italy and then hosted and produced shows for Fashion TV, Radio Monaco, Europe 1 and Made of Music. I then went back to the luxury market where I've worked extensively in the fine jewelry industry.

I have a Master of Economics and a Master of Art in Fashion, Experience and Design Management from SDA Bocconi in Milan, and I am also a Certified Law of Attraction Coach - I've lived in France, Italy, Greece, Spain and the United States.

Since a very young age, I was always drawn to the metaphysical, and I quickly realized that I had the power to manifest my desires into reality and that my thoughts would become real - so I decided to become a certified Law of Attraction coach. With this sense of purpose, I used my background in fashion and design to create a series of beautifully designed journals, planners, and coloring books, that are not only practical but also aesthetically pleasing. I truly poured my heart and soul into creating a transformative tool that would guide people on their own journey of self-discovery and personal growth, and help them manifest their dreams into reality.

Each book has been specifically designed to help people focus on their goals, dreams, and desires, and to take inspired action. The journals are filled with prompts and exercises so you can cultivate a positive mindset and attract abundance into your life. I never gave up on my vision and the response has been overwhelming! The Manifesting Journal series has now become a source of inspiration for many, and people from all over the world are using the journals and sharing their success stories with me. I’m in awe! People have been amazed at how quickly they were able to manifest their desires and create the life they had always dreamed of, which brings me so much joy.

There's been plenty of times in my life where I felt like I was cast in the wrong movie and not playing the part I actually wanted to play. My journals and coloring books are my contribution to helping myself and others to recast the movie, fire the director and finally live life on our own terms.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?

I've done ballet for almost 20 years, and my journey through dance has been an extraordinary education, imparting lessons in agility, memory, and stage presence, among others. However, there's one crucial lesson that I've had to actively unlearn, and it's an ongoing process to this day.

I have been conditioned to mask the pain, to wear a smile even when every inch of my body throbbed with exhaustion and my feet were bleeding. Breaking this habit of concealing my struggles, of projecting an image that all is well when my body (or life) is in turmoil, has proven to be a persistent challenge.

I'm naturally a reserved and private individual, and it has been a formidable endeavor to open up and reveal vulnerability, especially when life presents its most testing moments. Life, undeniably beautiful, also has its share of arduous and trying phases. I am gradually learning to shed the mask, to relinquish the façade of the unflinching ballerina smile and the stoic poker face. Because in order to create true connections, you need to be open and vulnerable and I hope my story can inspire people to face their fears, face their pain, and do it anyway. The only way out is through and we're all in this together we got this!

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

I made a life-altering move from France to the United States to be with my then-boyfriend. However, my world took an unexpected turn when I discovered I was being betrayed, prompting me to make a crucial decision. In hindsight, it turned out to be a remarkable stroke of luck because I had been profoundly unhappy, yet I had been determined to persevere solely for the sake of the relationship.

Faced with two pivotal choices, I contemplated returning to France (the easy safe choice that wouldn't have truly fulfilled me) or embarking on a new adventure in Los Angeles (the exciting risky choice). The allure of Los Angeles had always been a dream of mine, and the beauty of having nothing, is that there's no fear of letting go, and nothing to lose. So, I packed my entire life into two suitcases and a carry-on, and took that leap of faith – much like in the movies.

However, a lingering thought persists: Wouldn't it be wonderful if we didn't have to wait for such pivotal and painful moments to align with our true desires in life?
